Mammoth LED Grow Light Controllers
Three controller options. One goal: complete control of your lights and growing environment.
All three Mammoth controllers include a temperature + humidity sensor. Choose the level of control that fits your setup.
🟢 OPTION 1 — GREEN CONTROLLER
Advanced Lighting + Environmental Control | Wi-Fi + App
Our newest and most advanced controller. The Green Controller combines lighting control, environmental monitoring, and automation — all accessible through the Wi-Fi-enabled controller and app.
Temperature + Humidity Sensor — INCLUDED
Monitor your grow environment in real time.
2 ports: RJ45 + RJ12 Ports
The RJ45 port controls all 3 spectrum channels on Mammoth spectrum-tuning lights only, including the 10-Bar 3-Channel UV Series and Nova 950W Spectrum Tuning.
The RJ12 port works with all Mammoth lights except the 50W Clone/Inter-Canopy models, which do not have an RJ control port.
Wi-Fi + App Control
Monitor and adjust your lighting and environmental settings remotely through the controller’s app.
CO₂ Controller — OPTIONAL
Add a CO₂ sensor/controller for CO₂ monitoring and environmental automation.
PAR Meter — OPTIONAL
Add a PAR meter with an extendable pole + ground stake to measure PPFD at canopy level.
Environmental Equipment Control
UBC cords are INCLUDED for connecting compatible fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and other accessory equipment.
If your equipment doesn’t have a UBC connection, an optional AC On/Off device allows the Green Controller to turn equipment on and off based on programmed conditions, such as humidity levels.
Controller Setup: Set the light’s dimmer knob to OFF or EXT when connected to the controller. The RJ12 port is for fixed-spectrum lights (e.g., 820W 8-bar), while the RJ45 port supports spectrum-tuning models (e.g., 950W 8-bar) and controls channels 2–4. No adapter is needed for RJ45 spectrum-tuning lights. Channel 1 is controlled through RJ12.
⚪ OPTION 2 — WHITE CONTROLLER
Touchscreen | RJ45 + RJ12 ports | Bluetooth only
A simple, touchscreen controller for precise lighting control.
Temperature + Humidity Sensor — INCLUDED
RJ45 Port → Controls all 3 spectrum channels on Mammoth spectrum-tuning lights, including the 10-Bar 3-Channel UV Series and Nova 950W Spectrum Tuning.
RJ12 Port → Works with all Mammoth lights except the 50W Clone/Inter-Canopy models.
For fixed-spectrum Mammoth lights, an RJ45 → RJ12/14 adapter is available separately when a second or more RJ12-based connection is needed.
Control Features
- Independent channel control
- ON/OFF schedules
- Dimming
- Sunrise/sunset simulation
- Bluetooth app control
Controller Setup: Set the light’s dimmer knob to OFF or EXT when connected to the controller. The RJ12 port is for fixed-spectrum lights (e.g., 820W 8-bar), while the RJ45 port supports spectrum-tuning models (e.g., 950W 8-bar) and controls channels 2–4. No adapter is needed for RJ45 spectrum-tuning lights. To connect multiple fixed-spectrum lights, use the RJ45-to-3×RJ12 adapter, which provides additional RJ12 ports. Channel 1 is controlled through RJ12.
Spectrum-Tuning Note: We removed the spectrum graphs from the channels because Mammoth spectrum-tuning lights use different channel configurations. This prevents confusion when the channel layout doesn’t match a specific light.
⚫ OPTION 3 — BLACK CONTROLLER
Dual RJ12 Ports | Wi-Fi
A straightforward option for controlling multiple groups of Mammoth lights.
Temperature + Humidity Sensor — INCLUDED
Two RJ12 Ports → Control 2 separate channels/lines independently.
Up to 50 interconnected lights per channel → Scale your lighting system as your grow expands.
Wi-Fi App Control → Monitor and control your lighting from your smartphone.
Compatibility → Works with Mammoth lights and many other leading grow-light brands, including Gavita.
GREEN CONTROLLER ACCESSORIES
CO₂ Controller
Optional sensor/controller for CO₂ monitoring and environmental control.
PAR Meter + Extendable Pole + Ground Stake
Measure PPFD at canopy level and easily move the sensor throughout the grow.
UBC Cords — 4 INCLUDED
Connect compatible fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and other accessory equipment.
AC On/Off Device — OPTIONAL
For equipment without a UBC connection. Allows the Green Controller to turn equipment on/off based on programmed conditions such as humidity.
THREE OPTIONS. ONE MAMMOTH SYSTEM.
🟢 Green → Advanced lighting + environmental control + Wi-Fi/app + optional CO₂/PAR + accessory equipment control
⚪ White → Touchscreen + RJ45/RJ12 + Bluetooth
⚫ Black → Dual RJ12 + Wi-Fi
Controller Setup & Troubleshooting
-
Check the dimmer knobs. Make sure the fixture's dimmer knobs are set to OFF/EXT so the external controller can take over.
-
Use the correct cables.
-
Grey RJ45 cable: Controls channels 2, 3, and 4.
-
Black RJ12 cable: Controls channel 1 on fixed-spectrum lights.
-
Black RJ45 cable included with the light: Controls channels 1, 2, and 3. If you're having trouble, try this cable to see if it resolves the issue.
-
Check the controller settings. Make sure the controller is not set to PWM mode. The control signal must be compatible with the fixture.
-
Check all connections. Make sure the cables are fully seated and locked into place at both the fixture and controller. A loose connection can prevent proper dimming or channel control.
-
Test one light first. If multiple fixtures are connected, test a single light before connecting the rest. Once it works correctly, add the other fixtures one at a time.
-
Check channel assignments. If the wrong channel dims or a channel doesn't respond, verify that the controller's output is mapped to the correct lighting channel.
-
If the issue persists, try another compatible cable or test with a second fixture to help isolate whether the issue is the cable, controller, or light.
